Literally translated: lion of a noble sort.

I really needed a name change from my old account. It was created specifically as a silly account that I would update, in character, as if the comic personality had come to life and decided to blog. But I ended up using it to find many of my friends and family and realized too late that I'd "misused" the account and created an online name that didn't match the personality of the person blogging.

So here is my true name. Adalheid is the original from which my true name is derived. Adalheidis is a variation on that name and, as artphr33k  put it, the "s" at the end gives it a snake-like sound. I think it's appropriate since all other names I've had over the length of my admittedly short life were aquired when I was an entirely different person. I have shed that skin and become a newer, shinier self. One I like a hell of a lot better, and I think other people like me better too.  I was an asshole.

Aria means lion. I chose to add in a totem-like element to my name because it focuses on the parts of my personality I like best: I try to get along with everyone and avoid fights whenever possible. I think just about everyone has a place in my pride and I will do my best to love you for exactly who you are.  But I am also a hunter. If someone crosses me, or worse, one of my own, I can put my easy-going nature aside to kick ass and take names, and I wont do it alone.

So that's my bullshit.  :-)  The only regret I have is that I couldn't think of a sillier element to add to the name. I guess that'll just have to be obvious by who I am instead of what I'm called.
